My RUNNING

journey all started when I was hit by a car and flew through the air 100 metres, landing on my head. Today I can proudly say that I have run over 7 marathons and have competed with some of the top Canadian runners.

Running saved my life.

COACHING

to me is like taking a journey, along with my athletes, to their personal bests. I really enjoy seeing each athlete achieve their goals. I use my experiences as a professional runner and the last two decades of traumatic brain injury rehabilitation.

At the end of the day, I want to use the tools I learned through my TBI to help others work past their limits both as an athlete and an individual.

Biggest Lesson Learned from My Traumatic Brain Injury

Things take time. My early frustration came from not being able to keep up with my peers around me. But with the help of my disability psychologist I learned to be patient and create goals that I could achieve at my own pace.

What Running Has Taught Me

Consistency wins every time. Every time.

Community builds valuable relationships.

There are no Short Cuts to achieving success.

Set Goals that are realistic and achievable.
